Palle himself was Inspired by an article Molly Crappable wrote on freelance life, what it takes to survive as a one-man army, as I (luis) listened to his podcast, Palle mentions some things he learned, firstly a lot of people get worried about being payed, but it’s more important to focus on your work, he prefers to do his work first and let job opportunities to come in, always having ideas and projects alive. His second point  said companies are not loyal to you, as a freelancer illustrator, your employer by no means is obligated to tell you when you are fired, so do not only stick to one project, always have ideas written down from time to time. Moreover he mentions always be kind among other artist in the creative industry, what you help is what you will gain, some people may not have certain skills that you may have, Aswell as other people having different skills to you.  He also mentions working as for  free is only worth it when you get if treated well and you have creative control, do not work free for rich, people out there will convince you for things, but you cannot lured into giving away too much of your creativity.

As the podcast continued, Pall discussed some of his own advice such as, number 1 advice, keep your deadlines up to date. Accountability is number 1 thing customers, Stick to your agreements. 2nd point he offers, communicate with your customers, ask if your deadline can be postponed etc. Another point is keeping cool, having your own projects as well as your work set, as a freelance there’s time when you have no clients, no projects or jobs, use that blank calendar date to create your own projects. Also he says it okay to say no, if there’s nothing to learn from a certain job or you get a bad vibe from it, it’s okay to say no. Furthermore, he likes to plan 1 or 2 days before what he is going to do, he mentions although he works sometimes by himself, working sometimes you can feel lonely and there could be distractions, but working with other talented people can be a positive, perhaps in a studio.

His work inspires me because
